... He gets it. Here is my suggestion Mr. President. Remove all special treatment of Law Enforcement Officers. Hold them on all levels accountable for their actions as all other citizens. Police do have a hard job and they have a right to come house like everyone else. However, If a citizen killed another citizen for whatever reason, the surviving citizen would be arrested and have their day in Court. If we are all equal under the law, hold all Law Enforcement to the same standards as we hold all other citizens. Maybe if Cops didnt have a shield of protection around them when they do wrong, theyll be more careful when performing their duties. We need Officers who think before they act. We need Officers who will only use their guns as a last resort, not the 1st option. We need Officers who will use words and not violence when trying to control a situation. Police are given special protection under the Law, not equal. That is the problem. Bad behavior allowed to fester and operate with impunity in our communities, just because it has a Badge.
