Hear from a breast cancer survivor who also believes Kids Should Come First. Were sharing this video and encouraging you to do the same. Andrews Mom spent all of last year battling breast cancer. She underwent surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation. She dealt with hair loss, fatigue and constant ill feelings. She still deals with side effects from the treatment. Despite all she endured, she still believes that we, as a country and world, should make #KidsComeFirst. She has a unique perspective having been diagnosed with breast cancer herself, but also having watched childhood cancer ravage her sons body and take his life. Childhood cancer forced a curly-haired, happy boy to be told he wouldnt live through the day 4 times. Because of childhood cancer, Andrew endured over 50 surgeries, 4 strokes and a brain aneurysm that forced him to be airlifted to Philadelphia for emergency brain surgery. Childhood cancer stole a son, brother and friend. Because of childhood cancer, a 14 year old boy died in the arms of his 16 year old sister, his best friend. This is not supposed to happen and we need to do more to stop it from continuing to happen. Our kids deserve more. They deserve better.
