Hello! As some of you know, I am a third year Doctoral student at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. For my dissertation, I am conducting a qualitative study examining the lived experiences, benefits and challenges of BDSM practitioners. I am in search of 9 participants who identify as part of the BDSM community, have been practicing for 3 years or more and who are involved in BDSM events (playing, munching, volunteering, going to street fairs) at least once a month. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. I will ask participants to complete one demographic survey and a one time 60 minute semi-structure interview about their positive and negative experiences of BDSM, how they feel it has contributed to their identity formation and what they would like to tell the rest of the world about BDSM.
