Hello Doctor Satish, I wonder if you could still remember me. I - TopicsExpress

Hello Doctor Satish, I wonder if you could still remember me. I was that student from Nan Hua High that asked you about evolution when my school brought a couple of us to the NUS Anatomy Museum on 28 February. If you could still remember, and I believe you do, I highly doubt that the theory of evolution is as accurate as what it seems. My first point was this: A scientific theory or hypothesis can only be proven right as a scientific fact if it falls under the two categories. These two categories are scientific observations and experimentation. However, as i mentioned last month, the theory of evolution doesnt fall under these two categories. There are no observational fact out there, even if i bring in Darwins finches, it just proves that adaptation stands itself out from evolution. Evolution requires a change in type. A bacteria gaining new abilities or characteristics is still a bacteria nonetheless. There are no change in type whatsoever. Experimentation is needless to say here as not even observations of the theory could be concluded. My second point: According to the law of biogenesis, it is an established scientific fact that life cannot originate from non-living matter. Imagine this: There was once nothing on Earth, just plain darkness in this universe. Suddenly the universe goes into a very hot and dense state and began expanding rapidly. After the initial expansion, the universe cooled sufficiently to allow energy to be converted into subatomic particles. Now lets come back to earth. Ridiculous isnt it? Energy that comes from nowhere, and forming matter from energy. We were all told energy cannot be created or destroyed in school life, but what we now know is that nuclear energy can be created by smashing two atoms together at high speed in the Large Hadron Collider. So the idea of energy forming into matter and then the matter colliding to form energy is ridiculous. Something cannot come from nothing. Life must come from a source whereby the source is first contaminated by life. Moulds could grow on a piece of bread because there are bacteria in the air that contaminates it. My last-but-not-least point is that there must be a creator in which our universe is intelligently design. Before we jump to conclusions that there are no proofs, lets take a look at the phrase intelligent design. The complexity of the human anatomy, the amazing synchronization of the orbitals of celestial bodies and the magnificent biodiversity in this community doesnt convince us that everything has a purpose and is made for one? It doesnt make sense, does it? How on earth can our brain think? Yeah its the neurons and synapses and everything in between but HOW does it thinks? Similarly, we still havent figured out how the brain stores up our memory, and retrieve it at a later timing. Maybe, just maybe, we cannot use science to explain everything. I would rather believe that God created us for a purpose than to believe that we humans, highly intelligent, evolved from apes to live a life that is superficial and to die without even knowing what on earth are we here for. I know my purpose on earth and where Im going after my body dies. I know that I wont evolve into something, that for sure. Anyways, Im not trying to bring religion in but it is hard to just say things come about from nothing. For example, if youre reading this, and have nothing by your side and I want a flower, could you make it for me? Intelligent design, the ability to create something out of nothing. In conclusion, the lack of substantial observations and experiments, together with the law of biogenesis, and intelligent design, I strongly believe that evolution is indeed a belief. Its the same as religion, a new sort of religion, called evolutionism. Thank you for reading this letter. Its only my personal opinion and please correct me if Im wrong. Hope you can write back soon and God bless you and your family. Ps. My email to a professor in the Yang loo Lin school of Medicine. He havent replied me after two weeks.
