Hello Everyone: Today we are going to take a look the first Mexican singing group to appear at Casa De Fritos. They were known as the Gonzalez Trio. Thie trio consisted of Ricardo, Manuel and Rosa (Or Rose if you prefer) While the guys played the guitar well Rose was a virtuoso at it. she could play the six string and twelve string as well as the vihuela. But she didn`t stop there. She could also play the maraccas and she was just adept with castanets. She was also a fantastic flaminco dancer. During one of the many sets, she would show off her skills and then pick someone in the audience to help her. It was all part of the fun. The trio lasted for several years before leaving the park. In the first picture you can see the group playing in front of Casa De Fritos. The little Frito Kid gold mine display has been removed and additional seating has been installed. The second show the group out in the Frontierland area serenading. Look at that beautiful costume Rose is wearing (In a way she reminds me in a distant way of a lead I recently worked for.)
