Hello, I turn to you asking for advice! Because I am prepared for publishing our academic book „SPIRITUAL TRADITIONS OF CAUCASUS & TRANSCAUCASIA“, I need some interesting pictures of the ancient & pagan sanctuaries, holy places & temples, prehistorical megalithic sites (megaliths, dolmens, menhirs, kurgans, stone lines and fields, rock paintings & petroglyphs) -- as are there in Uzerlik-tepe, Yasty-tepe in Agstafa region of AZERBAIJAN, or similar places as are GEORGIAN Tri-aleti and ARMENIAN Karahunj, Elara & Zorats Karer, Metsamor etc) .... -- for our prepared Book! I need also some pictures of the rituals, worshiping pilgrims on the Babadaq and/or other Caucassian & Transcaucasian regions, too! Maybe you could find some such items in your Archive and help me with my work, and also with a promotion of your Country, of course. All pictures must be in the Highest Quality (High Resolution) and Authorised by Authors / Owners of the orginal. We can not accept some copies from Internet or unauthorised / anonymous nameless pictures, of course! BUT I have problem with communication with your people, I am sorry to say - NONE ANSWERED LONG TIME! A pity because I love your Country!!! Unfortunately, for 5 years, I needed to get some illustrations and photos from your colleagues, organizations and institutions in Russian Caucasus, Azerbaijan, Armenia & Georgia, I was wroten dozens of letters, but no one YET HELP US, nothing I have received. I am sorry to say....! Im also currently preparing a plan future expedition in which I have included also the entire North Caucasus & C. Asia, - and welcome from you recommended locations where it would be appropriate to shoot a pictorial documentation for our book - especifically in terms of pre-Christian / pre-Islamic period!? (But I am not able to visit personally also countries of Caucasus & Transcaucasia for taking own pictures this year, for reason of limited time, a pity.) According your request I may send you the Content / Abstract of our prepared books, of course. By the Way: We need also pictures for our academic monograph publication about YEZIDISM, the first one in Czech Language (author is the eminent Czech academic writer / scientist), what now have completed, BUT We lack the illustrations for finishing the book, because author is very ill and he is not able to be active in this mater , I am sorry to say, .... and I would be unhappy to publish book without some pictures. We want all topical pictures what are typical / characteristic for YEZID TRADITION, including - the Reproductions of old photos, maps and mainly line drawings - Portraits of Kurdish religious Leaders, Prophets & Saints - Photos of Kurdish Temples, Sanctuaries and Holy places - Photos of Kurdish ceremonies / rituals - Pictures of Yezid Holy Symbols - Facsimiles / reproductions of the Kurdish Holy Texts / Scriptures maybe also you will find some suitable pictures during time ? For example in the SARA web I find some interesting pictures , too, but these ones are in bad quality. THE CONTENT OF OUR BOOK JEZIDISMUS: General information, history, and religious conditions in the region, Yezidism and Kurdish culture Spiritual traditions Yezidism Religious texts; Folklore and Zine Mem novel; Encyclopedic dictionary of names and terms, bibliography and footnotes. Linguistic note on the Kurdish language Table transcription The book could have c. 300 pages and it would be a pity to publish it without pictures, of course. At this moment I must stop preparation of book into press, hoping somebody mediate us some illustrations during near time, maybe also you will find some suitable pictures in your archive during time ?
