Hello Ludwig folks, hers another sound test I did with a Ludwig Black Beauty from early 90s..Around 91-92 I think. This is the first Engraved model I ever own. I was in a hunt, in 1993, for this one, after seing the Ludwig inside cover ad in Modern Drummer. It was showing the Engraved 5x14 #001 model..I guess it belonged to The Chief William F. Ludwig II back then, but Im not sure (and wonder who got it now..). Maybe Jim Catalano or some of you out there can help.. So this one is a Supraponic Engraved Black Beauty 6.5x14 Bronze shell limited number #011. Fitted with Vintage Twin Channel die cast hoops top and bottom. Thers also some Brass IT Tuners tension rods on batter side and brass ones on bottom..Heads combination is Remo Amb.Cs top and Ludwig X-Thin clear bottom. P85/P32 combo Tuning is medium on batter and very tight on bottom..Ill try to make another one with different tunings : low, medium, tight ( if anybody interested anyway..)
