Hello all, our daughter has just had surgery for sagittal craniosynostosis, during Iriss time in Bristol Childrens Hospital i made a short film, to keep me sane. I wanted to share this with you. https://youtube/watch?v=Dac1Nya4V5k&feature=youtu.be Iris had a few very rare complications during surgery and had to have 6 times her blood volume transfused. The surgeons and the team did an amazing job and she is now making a full recovery. We are back home now, just a week after surgery and she is her usual cheeky self. I wanted to share this with you to show the recovery and to highlight the importance of giving blood. Without donations Iris would not have made it through the operation and as we have been told that nearly 90% of operations for this procedure the patient needs a blood transfusion. If you dont give blood already please consider it.
