Hello everyone, As GMS scholars we are very fortunate to be given many resources to succeed. Among these resources are our amazing alumni that continue to achieve great things beyond their undergraduate career. We want to take the time to spotlight one of these very talented alumni that will be available to you at our panel on April 11th. Name: Obamos, Evelyn 08 Upon completing her Masters in Digital Media for Learning Program and Teacher Education Multiple-Subject credential at the University of San Francisco, Obamos hopes to develop critical and culturally responsive pedagogy for her future classroom. Her personal goals include pursuing an interdisciplinary field of Critical Cultural Studies and Media/Technology at the doctoral level, produce more YouTube videos of covers and original songs with her partner, travel as many corners of the world on a minimal budget, and to leave a legacy that extends the support and passion her family has provided her with. Obamos identifies as an island-born city girl – born and raised on the island of Guam, lived in the Philippines for almost a year then spent all of her high school years in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. When shes not in class as a full-time grad student or working her part-time jobs, you can find her singing and playing the guitar, ukulele, or piano, on the courts playing tennis, producing or editing videos, designing graphics, surfing (the web), crossing off to-do lists in her bullet journal, or catching up with her Passion Planner schedule.
