Hello everyone, Brody is doing great and loving summer!!! We pick up his night splints next week and he is going to have to start wearing them to bed, Im not quite sure how thats going to go. We will just hope for the best, but were quite certain hes not going to like it. He has been wearing his orthotics during the day off and on. They dont want him wearing them too much, about 6 hours a day. We start speech therapy again next week. He doesnt have problems with his speech, but, his doctors would like him in speech therapy because the therapists will give him exercises to do that will help loosen up his vocal cords until we can figure out how the doctors will fix them - if they can be fixed (we pray they can be fixed every day). We dont see the team of specialists until July. So, we are sticking with speech therapy until then to try and help with the tightness. We also had Brody allergy tested. Allergies can be very irritating to the airway, so we wanted to make sure we are covering all of our bases. GREAT NEWS: Brody was negative for ALL allergies!!! Yay!! One less thing to worry about. Now, we are just waiting for that appointment in July. They told us to plan for a long day and Brody will probably have procedures done to figure out the problem with his vocal cords and if/how it can be fixed. Please, continue to pray for him. Our fear now is that he will wake up again and wont be able to breathe if his vocal cords are irritated. Its very scary because breathing treatments cant help the vocal cords. But, he is on an inhaled steroid now, so, fingers crossed, that will do the trick until he is all fixed up!! GOD is wonderful and so are all of you! Love and thanks to all, Tab
