Hello fellow islanders! Im sure most of you have already heard by now, but for those who havent, its true, Dad (Aka: Eddie Everywhere) passed away on Thursday after battling a sudden illness for 3 weeks. Im not much of a facebooker so hopefully I dont screw this up but I do want to make sure everyone on the island knows, so please also pass the word on to those that are Techno challenged. For those that can come, here are the arrangements: The wake will be Wed July 9th 3-9 pm at Brady Gill Funeral Home, 16600 South Oak Park Ave in Tinley Park Illinois. The Funeral will be with full military honors at Lincoln National Cemetary which is just south of Joliet Illinois. 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood Illinois. 60421. This ceremony starts at 10:30 SHARP! So plan on being early if you are going. We absolutely understand if you cant make it to either one, all of the thoughts and prayers that have been sent have been more than enough. The only thing that Dad loved more than the island itself was all of the people on the island. He wanted to make sure that none of us would dwell on the neagative, concentrate on the positive! So That is what we will hopefully do from now on. We do ask that in lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for our local American Legion, details to be worked out later. I hear that many of you have been flying your flags at half staff since you have heard the news, and I just want to say that I cant begin to express my gratitude for this. I think it is an absolutely perfect tribute to him on this patriotic holiday weekend. With any luck we will be back up there next weekend, and can start the mending process with our favorite people.
