Hello friends. It is on this Thanksgiving I want to extend a big hug and thanks for life. I personally have navigated so much this year and am grateful to be in one piece and standing and in joy. I want to also give you all an update on our friend and fellow classmate Dan Kirk. I spent the evening at the hospital (swedish cherry hill campus DT seattle - Cardiac ICU). Unfortunately our friend is still struggling to recover. He needs our prayers daily for his body to gently start recovering and for doctor and nurses wisdom. Heres his status: They moved him to DT from Issaquah swedish because his one lung (he lost one to cancer in his 20s) got infected and then his kidneys started to fail. They now have him on a full dialysis machine. His blood pressure is extremely low. Luckily his fever broke yesterday, so were hoping thats a small step in the right direction. Tina has been by his side for the last two weeks and now has to find a way to balance her time. The doctors are not sure how long this will last. Please also pray for Tinas peace of mind as she begins a job on Monday and wont be able to be with Dan full time. Thank you everyone for sharing this post with your prayer circles and churches. Everyday is precious. We must walk lightly and find joy in every step. Gratitude for this life. One day at a time.
