Hello friends and family.....please read this post about my brother Skip Magees wife, Liza. Her sister Angie posted this on Liza Cormanick Magees Caring Bridge site but I know many of you do not see these postings. Please please consider helping them out.....read below fromAngie: Unfortunately, I am writing today to share with all of you that Lizas battle withGraft vs. Host Disease has her back in the hospital. She arrived at the James last Friday afternoon. Liza is in a very fragile state. Her open wounds covering her ENTIRE body have led to several and severe infections which are currently being treated with various antibiotics. These open wounds or ulcers all over her body and are so VERY painful and pain management is a huge priority in this recovery and healing process as well (similar to a burned victim). We anticipate a slow recovery along with physical and occupational therapy followed by bi-weekly visits back to the James for additional treatment with many other treatments to still be considered and discussed. Moreover, future home health care and the potential of Liza recovering in a skilled nursing facility. This disease has debilitated her physical, emotional and mental health. Many of you have asked over the past two years, what can you do to help the Magee family. This time more then ever, we are asking for additional prayers that Liza will FULLY recover and be back on her feet living the life she so loves and dearly misses with her family and at work. In addition, Tyler has set up a Post Leukemia Fund to help support the mounting medical bills, private insurance deductibles, prescriptions, etc. In Tylers words: Hello my name is Tyler Magee, and this is my mother Liza. She is a loving wife and mother that was unfortunately diagnosed with Leukemia in September of 2011. She received 6 rounds of chemo and 5 rounds of radiation to prepare her for a bone marrow transplant. She was later lucky to receive the bone marrow transplant from her sister Angie in January of 2012. She was diagnosed cancer free in April of 2012. Unfortunately she is currently battling a side affect from the transplant called chronic graph versus host disease. Even though the transplant happened over a year and 9 months ago she has many skin irritations and open sores covering her body that has made it hard to work and do simple tasks throughout the day. She has been admitted to the James Cancer Center many times because of this. On top of all that her insurance deductible is currently reached $20,000 since she has been diagnosed, not including medication and house bills. As her son I would love to be the one to raise all of the money for her. It would mean the world to me if everyone could share this page and donate to help her out. Please keep praying for her as well as she battles on everyday. Please consider donating to assisting Liza this very difficult and long healing and recovering process that has been so very difficult for each member of the Magee family. To donate, visit the site below: gofundme/4eksao gofundme/4eksao In the meantime please keep Liza and the Magee family in your prayers. Thanks to all of you from the bottom of our hearts! Love, Angie
