Hello parklanders, I would wish to invite students in need of bursary to make an application to the academics affairs secretary through my office.You will need to fill in an application form which shall be availed at the bureau by end of today together with an accompanying letter demonstrating your need for the same.All these are efforts to ensure that the people who we ultimately award the bursaries are the most deserving. Secondly I would wish to announce that we will have our first ever student/ dean baraza next month.So that students can have an opportunity to put constructively to task the dean and other relevant lecturers and administrators on some of the issues that we need addressed and redressed. Also we are in the advanced stages of putting together the blue print of our alumni association which should be launched in two months time.Students input will be required as we approach the launch and i shall communicate accordingly. Lastly to avert a status quo that only does alot to ensure that our very capable and brilliant students dont compete favorably when they leave law school I have proposed to the school of course subject to your ratification to have a comprehensive laptop recommendation policy that will see a majority of our students given laptops with a partner of our choice like HP which they will pay for over a period of time at favorable rates. We are in a public university and ofcourse that seems too ambitious but if we look at it from the fact that so much potential goes untapped because of IT illiteracy then I think its something we might want to try out and the dean is in full support.
