Hello to the New England Film Community I am currently - TopicsExpress

Hello to the New England Film Community I am currently creating an extensive 8 week program designed to accelerate film funding for people who are looking to develop a movie concept or script. If you are looking to learn more about the business of film making and how to get investors to put money into your movie, then this course is for you. And it’s free if you complete the 8 weeks of the pilot program. What I need are people who are very serious about working in the business of motion picture development and funding. Because this is a pilot program, the information is given for free in exchange for feedback on how well the class has informed the students. I am looking for producers, directors or writers with a solid movie concept. There does not need to be a completed script, but I do need a 3 to 4 page treatment of your film concept and the major plot points of the movie. If you cannot write 3 to 4 page summary of your movie, you will not be able to handle the course load for this program. Each week, very specific assignments are given that must be followed. Things we will work on 1) How to avoid the pitfalls nearly all new film maker falls into concerning film funding. 2) How to get famous actors and actresses into your movie 3) How to get an audience excited about your film even before you shoot it 4) How to get distributors interested in your film before it’s even made 5) How to make your film project enticing to investors 6) Where to look for investors in your community 7) How to ensure your film will succeed once you have created it The class will meet Mondays from 7pm to 8:30pm in Somerville, MA. They will begin on April 7th and end on May 26th. I will only be accepting 4 students for this pilot program. I’m a small independent film maker out in Boston Massachusetts. I worked on numerous independent movies for over fifteen years as an actor, stuntman, special effects makeup artists and director. I serve as a film journalist for Digg Radio where I have interviewed dozens of film makers both big and small. I have funded two feature films in the last 5 years and now want to pass on what I learned to The New England Film Community. If you are interested in participating in this pilot program, please email me with your contact info and a 3 to 4 page treatment for your movies idea as well as your film making experience. Thanks!
