Help and advice needed re Self Employment.. My part time employer wants me to use my ABN instead of going on her books..(supposedly this will save her having to pay tiny supperannuation for me) and hence become a contract worker..then I would be classed as Self Employed for my Newstunt (previously PPS). I am very nervous of any changes of this kind as I cannot afford even ANY mucking up with my fortnightly income reporting.. My Tursa person told me this would be pretty complicated with projected incomes, profit and loss statements, probable personal insurance and sorting my own tax and super etc. He told me that sometimes if figures are wrong that payments could be a lot lower until adjusted. ...aahhh...not coping as it is and really do not need the stress that this seems to be, if I lose ANY more income at all, even in one fortnight, I will be stuffed! just for 10 or so hours per week. Anyone in a similar situation with advice? Thanks folks.
