Henderson has been endorsed by the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors® (PMAR) and the Home Builders Association of Metro Portland (HBA)! Both mayoral candidates, Council President Henderson and Councilor Clark, were interviewed by the PMAR and the HBA for a possible endorsement. Both long-standing and well-respected organizations have the following summaries from their websites below: The Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors® (PMAR) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting and enhancing the Realtor® members ability to conduct business ethically, professionally, and profitably while exhibiting a high standard of business etiquette. The more than 6,000 members of PMAR are committed to protecting and promoting homeownership, establishing and maintaining high professional standards of practice, and creating unity in the real estate profession. Established in 1936, the Home Builders Association of Metro Portland (HBAMP) is a trade association representing housing and the residential construction industry. HBAMP is the leading voice for the residential building industry, representing more than 1,200 builders, remodelers and industry professionals. HBAMP is the most nationally awarded HBA in the country, the fastest growing and the fifth largest overall. Mission of the HBA of Metropolitan Portland is to maximizing housing choice for all who reside in the greater Portland area.
