Here are the facts: 1. New York City Police Commissioner Ray - TopicsExpress

Here are the facts: 1. New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly went to Brown University in RI on the universitys invitation to talk about Proactive Policing in Americas Biggest City. 2. Presumably, this would include the NYPDs controversial stop-and-frisk policy and its surveillance of Muslims. 3. Before he even began to speak, student activists shouted him down. 4. When Brown officials asked the protesters to wait until the Q&A session to follow, they shouted all the louder. 5. Brown officials cleared the hall, and the Commissioners speech was cancelled. 6. One of the student activist leaders was quoted as saying that the protest was a powerful demonstration of free speech. See news.yahoo/nyc-top-cop-kelly-shouted-down-brown-university-121224581.html Even though the student activist who is a student at Brown is presumably an intelligent person, it is very sad to see that she doesnt understand the hideous irony in what she says. Shutting down your opposition through threats and public disruptions is NOT an expression of free speech...just ask any Communist or Nazi... Bill
