Here are the playoff seedings for the 2013 tournament, which begins tomorrow at noon at Cabin John Regional Park. For the first time that I can remember, the top four seeds are the division champions. 1. Comcast* 15-1 2. Post* 13-3 3. NPC* 12-4 (2-1 record versus cluster) 4. Allbritton* 12-4 (1-1 record versus cluster) 5. National Journal 12-4 (1-2 record versus cluster) 6. USA Today 11-5 (5-1 division record) 7. Discovery 11-5 (8-2 division record) 8. Washington Times 9-7 (on runs differential) 9. Sirius XM 9-7 (losing, 31-6, killed the tiebreaker) 10. CBS 8-8 So the playoffs will open with CBS at Discovery with the winner playing Comcast, and Sirius at the Times with the winner playing the Post. USAT will be at the Press Club and National Journal at Allbritton in rematches of games played during the regular season. The Solly Award will presented in the early afternoon, after the first games.
