Here are this week’s Ministry Reminders. As the Senior Minister of Jerusalem Church, my prayers are with each of us as we continue to strive to “Know Christ and to make Him Known”. Just wanted to give you a Ministry Reminder of the meetings/activities and/or ministries that will be happening this week…. Free Drink Give-a-Way—we will be handing out FREE bottles of water, juice and/or soda as a practical demonstration of God’s love this Saturday at Petz Place (New Philadelphia) from 10 am- 12 pm. All help will be greatly appreciated. Mission Moments: Anil and Rachel Massey will be sharing this Sunday as to how God is moving in India and how we can continue to partner with them for the Kingdom. Services-- Praise and Worship Service-- 8am Church School-- 9-9:50 am Traditional Worship Service--10 am Pies in the Face—to help with the expenses for the Back to School Bash/ Distribution of School Supplies—we are selling tickets for a chance to throw a pie at Pastor Daniel or Pastor Frank. Each ticket costs $1 and can be purchased in the church office or following church service(s) in the Youth Sunday School Classroom. When you purchase your ticket(s) please place your name on the back of the ticket(s) and place it in the jar of the respected pastor that you would like to “put” a pie in the face. The “winning” ticket will be drawn at the Back to School Bash and the person MUST be present to put the pie in the face. Back To School Bash/Distribution of School Supplies—we will be holding a Back To School Bash on Saturday August 17th from 9-11 am. There will be games, food, storytime with Joyal, singing with Butch, distribution of school supplies for grades: K-5 (Please note: we will NOT be distributing headphones this year). If you have any further questions—please speak to Pastor Daniel. Brotherhood Chicken BBQ Tickets are on sale! You can purchase these tickets through the Brotherhood at $9. All proceeds go to the Family Mission Trip in September 2013. All-Church Mission Trip—to Epworth Center in Bethesda, Ohio on Thursday September 12th—Saturday September 14th. You can come for a day or for the whole trip, depending on what works in your schedule. There is a sign-up sheet in the church office. We will have a planning meeting after the 10 am worship service on Sunday August 25th in the ABC Classroom. Prayer Request—please keeping lifted in your prayers our Search Committee (Jared B.; Ed D.; Dave E.; Fred E.; Mikayla H. ; Todd M.; Pastor Frank; Jody S.; Sarah W.; Deb Z) as we seek the Lord for the next candidate for the Associate Pastor/Dir. of Family Life Ministries. Ministry Opportunity: Our Church Consistory is looking for a few volunteers to assist in updating our Church’s Constitution and By-Laws.
