Here is a message I have saved ever since my accident, when ever I feel down, sad or depressed I read it to remind myself if in my lowest most painful time I was still able to help someone...Have never shared this with anyone, but thought now is the time... Cant tell you how good I felt when I first read this nearly 4yrs ago... Hi Archie! My Name is Janet, I am a Breast Cancer survivor (7 years) and I was in the bed next to you on the (i think) 7th floor on the day of my surgery and the next day too. I was then moved to the girls room but was then in the room next to you again when we moved down to the new Burn Unit on the third floor. I just wanted you to know, after my surgery, I was in so much pain and concerned that I had made the wrong decision about my surgery. From behind the curtain, I do appologize, but I heard about your situation. I saw Ty, (I too have a 7 year and 9 year old boys who play hockey). You changed my attitude in a hurry! Your strength and willpower and all of your friends and family and co-workers who support you was incredible!! I decided that I would get through this, I was asking how you were on a couple of occassions with the nurses. So, I just wanted to say THANK YOU!! for being so strong, for being so optimistic, for being in good spirits, and you have been a big part of my recovery! Your optimism keeps me going. Thank you as well for allowing me as a friend so that I could say thank you! You have a wonderful team of support and I look forward to hearing about your recovery here on facebook! My prayers are with of all you, and with your strength and compassion for life, you will survive!! Thanks Archie
