Here is a picture of Benedict Arnold. Synonymous with deceit and betrayal. My wife and i were talking this evening, and this is the best picture I could come up with for elected officials who run for office under one banner. And then trample on and void the entire process by unilaterally changing their party without first checking with ALL of those who took their time, spent their money to go and vote at the last election. Is it really any mystery why fewer and fewer Canadians vote. Is it any wonder why we do not trust politicians. Can someone tell me why anyone should vote in the next federal or provincial election if the person voted in can just pop around parliament or the legislature with no repercussions or accountability. I have voted in every election available to me since I turned 18. I am 51 years old, and it is sad to say. But true character in leadership is getting harder and harder to find. Politicians grumble that Canadians dont vote enough. But really, what are they doing to earn our respect? I want to see which leader either federally or provincially that has the man parts to pass legislation forcing any elected official who wants to leave their party to either sit as an independent until the next election, or resign, and re-run as a member of the new party. I Double dare either leader to pas such a law. Sorry for the RANT team.. just really disappointed in people of low character leading us.... signed by Jim
