Here is a project being done by a good Friend of mine which I thought I should share as its a fantastic example of creating a modified period looking car that will be from the look of it be amazing however the thing I love most is that no saveable car has been sacrificed to create the project the chassis is a modern Griffith one the main shell is a M series shell that was scrapped the rear is taken from a rear mould of a Griffith 400 1800s the bonnet is from a Griffith 400 then the tear drop vents from a Griffith 400 as well then the footwell vents as well which Rudy made when he made mine then all modern running gear and a straight 6 M BMW engine however what amazes me is the attention to detail in everything he does I have seen other cars he has done and the quality is amazing unlike a lot of us He is an engineer in the agricultural sector and does amazing work I just thought others might be inspired by his work and just maybe rather than modifying a classic re creating one in this way and saving the few original cars instead. When you see inside the role cage is one of the best I have seen and although goes across the doorway the doorway bar is removable for everyday use and pops back on for track day use. I will post more updates as I get them but a very interesting project. The car outside will look very period with the interior getting a slightly modern twist on the period Griffith 400 interior. He has got a Griffith 400 as well to restore but decided to do this first so he can enjoy some European touring with modern power fuel economy and comfort first.
