Here is a question from one of our mamas: My 16mo old nurses every 4hrs & has 2 divots on her top teeth. I took her to ped. dentist who dx her w/moderate decay because the divots are deep. He said genetics/diet(breastmilk) & bacteria all play a role in decay & she has rapid decay so he said to stop breastfeeding otherwise she will have to have several caps put on her teeth. I brush her teeth daily but he wants me to brush after ea meal as well as avoid all juice. Minimum fruit/carbs due to sugar content & apply a fluoride gel nightly. I am saddened that our breastfeeding journey has to come to an abrupt end but I do not want to increase the decay. Anyone else been through this? #HelpAMamaOut
