Here is where things currently stand with Sherree’s brother Lynn: Apparently, while Lynn and his brother were arc welding this afternoon in a metal feed grinder, Lynn’s brother turned and saw Lynn passed out and having convulsions or seizures, and thought Lynn had been electrocuted. The doctors found no electrical burns, so that has been ruled out. Lynn has a serious brain hemorrhage on the left side of his brain. The hemorrhage was creating critical, almost fatal levels of pressure within his skull, and the doctors had to drill a hole in the right side of his skull and insert a tube to relieve some of the pressure on his brain. If they had not performed that procedure, it would have undoubtedly been fatal. There is nothing that the doctors can do to mitigate the brain hemorrhage; we must wait for that issue to work itself out in time. If he survives, there may be brain damage; we just do not know at this point. Additionally, while Lynn was having what appeared to be seizures, he aspirated vomit into his lungs, which made breathing difficult, reduced oxygenation in his blood, and has created the opportunities for pneumonia and pulmonary infections. Lynn is currently on a ventilator and is heavily sedated. The prognosis is grim and things could go either way.
