Heres another great recipe to do at home from HANDS ON! Dinosaur Eggs 2-1/2 cups flour 3-1/2 cups sand 1-1/2 cups salt water small plastic toy dinosaurs Directions: Mix together flour, salt and sand in a large bowl. Gradually stir in enough water so that the mix holds together. Shape handfuls of “dough” around the small plastic dinosaurs in the form of eggs. Dry the eggs in a 200 degree oven till all moisture is gone. Turn the eggs as they dry. Hide them in a sandbox (or in your living room). Dig them up and open them with a small hammer or rock. What your child is learning: • concepts of measuring (a math skill) • following directions • small motor skills • science concepts (archaeology, evaporation) Have fun!
