Heres another story about young Chinese activists fighting for animal welfare. On November 6, 2014, more than two dozen college students gathered to protest against the hunting of seals. The demonstration took place in front of the China Fisheries & Seafood 2014 Expo entrance. They held banners that said Canada, Stop the Seal Hunt and Stop the Cruel Sale of Seal Products to China. China became the target after the European Union banned the importation of seal products in 2009, the Russian Federation in 2011, and Taiwan in 2013. It takes great courage for people to openly protest in China. We have the highest respect for these passionate and dedicated young people who strive to improve the lives of all animals. Duo Duo has been working with local activists to provide seminars that educate and empower more young people.
