Make sure to RSVP for the upcoming Resume Critiques: Week 1 Wednesday, September 24th: KPMG - Resume Critiques* What: A one-on-one discussion with a KPMG professional, intended to give students feedback on their resumes. Time: 6:00 - 8:30 PM Where: Career Center Dress: Business Casual Bring: Two copies of your resume RSVP: Register for the resume critique by signing up for a time slot at https://docs.google/a/scu.edu/spreadsheets/d/1wS7TfmnUlEhB5rh27JcFx9IrKKOXklA4Fxo7aHLMGGs/edit?usp=sharing Friday, September 26th: PwC - Resume Critiques* What: A one-on-one discussion with a PwC professional, intended to give students feedback on their resumes. Time: 6:00 - 8:30 PM Where: Career Center Dress: Business Casual Bring: Two copies of your resume RSVP: Register for the resume critique by signing up for a time slot at https://docs.google/a/scu.edu/spreadsheets/d/1npUoRuiYJxmTuHjNKabhUlny5vRfxeCdmbZgp_F-6ws/edit?usp=sharing ** If you are unable to attend one of these two critiques, we highly encourage you to get your resume critiqued by the Career Center before Monday, September 29th. They are available for same day appointments from: Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Call them to schedule at (408) 554-4421. Thursday, September 25th: Deadline for Meet the Firms Resume Submissions for the Resume Book Resume portfolio. Students attending the event should also submit a one-page resume to the SCUAA by Thursday, September 25th at 11:59pm. Your resume will be provided to all firms that attend the event as part of a resume portfolio. To submit your resume please follow these steps: Go to the following website: dropitto.me/SCUMTF2014 Enter the following password: SCUMTF2014 Attach your resume using the following naming convention Sophomores - UGRD_SO_LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_RESUME Juniors - UGRD_JR_LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_RESUME Seniors - UGRD_SR_LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_RESUME The resume must be one-page and in a pdf format; any resumes received outside of these guidelines will not be included in the resume portfolio. ----------- Week 2: Tuesday, September 30th: MEET THE FIRMS What: Meet the Firms is an Accounting career fair intended to give students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with 33 various Bay Area accounting firms, network with professionals and learn more about the Accounting profession. Time: 6:00 - 9:00 PM Where: Villa Ragusa, 35 South Second Street Campbell, CA 95008 Dress: Business Professional Tickets: Advance tickets will be sold in the first floor lobby of Lucas Hall during lunch time on weekdays beginning Wednesday, September 23 (specific tabling times will be sent out later this week). If you find this inconvenient, you can also pay for your ticket at the door. However, if you decide to pay at the door, you will be charged a $5 late payment penalty. The cost of the ticket is $15. The ticket costs are used to partially offset food and beverage costs and the cost of renting the hall. You can pay with either cash or check (check payable to SCU Accounting Department). Bring: At least 20 copies of your resume and a padfolio. *Wednesday, October 1st: Resumes are due on Broncolink by 11:59 PM. Dont wait till the last minute because there may be glitches with too many people accessing the system. Get a head start in submitting your resumes!
