Hey- we all love wildlife but sometimes it can be a little dangerous to people, pets and property. Animals that come too close are usually looking for food and/or shelter. If you feed your pets outdoors, please remove any uneaten food right away to avoid any unpleasant encounters and reduce their exposure to rabies, which is spread through saliva. Birdseed is another attraction-mice will carry it and store it wherever they can. That can include the airfilter in your car.Snakes that eat rodents will follow their food source and can cause problems in your car engine and the walls of your home. Mice and squirrels can chew wires and become a fire hazard. Check for openings around eaves and along incoming pipes each year and caulk them. Window wells make a great shelter, so use a cover to keep out larger animals.
