Hey Bahamians and all visitors to The Bahamas! Watch and listen to this informative and interesting short documentary film, announcing - THE FIRST RECYCLING COLLECTION CENTER in Nassau!!!! First you will be taken on a journey into the ocean, where you will see how the beautiful marine life and reef environments are being detrimentally affected by all forms of garbage. Next, your journey continues on-land to the landfills, where garbage is at times purposely or accidentally set on fire. Dr. Graham Cates will talk about the effects of the smoke on peoples respiratory health. He also addresses the fact that landfills pollute the water table, resulting in various ill-health consequences. The journey becomes hopeful in the Whats the Solution? segment of the film! :) Check out the list of suggestions, beautifully illustrated in a clear and simple manner, including a short talk about composting, by Selima Campbell Hauber (Owner of the Field to Fork Community Farm). Lastly, the film mentions some of the organizations and groups that are actively making a difference in keeping all Life on land and water in optimum health. The motto for us to act upon, is : REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE, AND GET INVOLVED!! HUGE THANKS and RESPECT to the Filmmakers and Crew! Sea Green Bahamas . B.R.E.E.F. . Bahamas National Trust .
