Hey CFW Army! I know you all were not able to travel to Bend to - TopicsExpress

Hey CFW Army! I know you all were not able to travel to Bend to support our CFW Athletes however, we always feel the support. Here are some of my reflections from the weekend. #1. I think if you ask our athletes how important training at 75% really is they will say it is key to performing. I preach this because when adrenalin hits, when the clock starts (3,2,1 go!), when you the crowd is loud, and when you see fellow competitors it will immediately have an physiological affect on your body. Fast is not always efficient, safe, or fun when youre falling all over the place. I cant tell you how proud I am of our athletes for their focus and commitment to their form and efficiency. Im willing to bet there were very few moments this weekend when you felt out of control and if/when it did happen you fixed it right away. CrossFit is like any other sport where if you can slow the game down it will come to you. #2. There are too many to count but we had an Army of people show up. We always do but, with a smaller event this winter we only got 12 athletes in. I was very appreciative of those who drove over to offer their support. Plus we took up half of the building :) #3. Review the video below. Joe has no hands and he does not let that excuse him from doing the same things you do. So, the next time you find an excuse let it go. Find something that motivates you. Feel blessed you are healthy enough to CrossFit. If this does not motivate you to get better than I dont know what will. Age, past injuries, mobility, work, stress, sleep, family, money, fear, nutrition, ego, and many other excuses and road blocks can come up from time to time. Keep your mind on your goals and what you need to do to get Better! Take care, Will
