Hey Everybody! After reading several critical remarks about our slow response time, I thought I should take a moment and tell you how MidSouth Pug Rescue is run. I (Cheryl Goodman) am president; I started MidSouth Pug Rescue when the last other pug rescue group in the Memphis, TN area shut down. I do all the facebook and twitter posts, all the emails, read all the applications, make and receive all the calls myself, organize all the fundraisers, apply for grants, man the booth at local events, arrange for fosters, coordinate volunteers, and set up adoptions. I do all the intake, and all the adoptions. My partner, Madeline Lee, is our Vet Coordinator and funds us out of her own pocket when our fundraisers fall short of our expenses. We foster hospice pugs here in our home. We receive no pay. Although I am retired, Madeline owns her own business and works seven days a week, and still makes time to help MidSouth Pug Rescue when she can. We have wonderful volunteers who foster for us, help with fundraisers, donate cash and goods, & transport when needed, but otherwise, everything is done by me. So if I am a little slow in answering your email, phone call, or facebook post, please be patient. Im doing the best I can for the pugs. Thanks for understanding!
