Hey all, let me just say that after working till 4:00 a.m. to organize my arsenal of medical records and adoption paperwork, things went well today and our 2 hour marathon appt will likely result in an approval for Jaxon. (no promises of course, but the kind gentleman was cautiously optimistic) THIS approval will then possibly open the door for federal adoption subsidy which will then take the place of SSI...then we can finally finalize and Jaxon can start working toward eligibility with Clark County Developmental Disabilities!!! Oh if only I had gained a better understanding of all of this much earlier on! We were continually and repeatedly promised subsidy from CA and told NOT to apply for SSI. Last night we were told that CA would not provide subsidy. Noone seems to know what they are doing .....including us! We trusted the professionals involved...they were mistaken and sometimes even lying to us. BUT Jaxon is in HIS hands and we are trusting for His provision.
