Hey chaps, To keep you in the loop, Ive had a few presidential emails which for the most part have been (uninteresting) unrelated to ourselves directly but wished to alert youse as the committee to make sure youse know. 1- QM Socials were in touch about Monday nights in Jims bar. DJs in Jims - QMUnion is apparently struggling and seeking support. They asked if we wanted to move our society meeting down or advertise for DJs. I responded with the fact we need to have space, quietish and it was a bit late to run a role play but if they let us know if there is a gamey thing we can publicise. Clara Owen I dont know if you want to advertise you know the QM are looking for DJs for this. Its up to you. 2- Feminists. There is a new feminist society on campus holding an election. One emailed me asking to publicise. It wasnt really our thing but have asked them to answer the following: I am writing from the Glasgow University Gaming Society, a society synonymous with boys, men, and which tends to put girls off because many think that gaming is for boys. We have worked internally to break this stereotype successfully and have seen an increase in our female membership as a result. I understand from your campaign you market yourself as seeking to promote inclusivity and would like to ask how you would like to promote this within societies across campus and in particular those that have a label as being male dominated. Once I get a comprehensive reply, Ill as the other candidate, show the membership and thus we will have done our part for cross campus and our potential female membership. 3- Room bookings. Finalising the convention and then will be advertising for stalls asap. ( ThreadCetera) will be wanting a stall... that me. £15 in the gugs bank for youse kaching) Anything else, Ill let you know... MANY KISSSSSESSSSS SENT. Thats a lie. Nae kisses. ~Coops
