Hey everyone! I wanted to be the first to post this, as Ms. Kat Imhoff, the leader of my new organization will be the featured presenter: On Tuesday, March 18th, at 3:30 p.m. in Grafton-Stovall Theater, James Madison University’s Office of the President – in conjunction with the Madison Institutes of JMU’s Office of Outreach & Engagement--welcomes Ms. Kat Imhoff. Ms. Imhoff will serve as the fourth speaker for the Madison Vision Series: Contemporary Issues in an Engaged Society. Imhoff will deliver an address titled, “James Madison and the Art of the Grey”. Ms. Imhoff will challenge the audience to consider Madison’s unique role in the founding of the United States as well as his legacy here and abroad. She will explore Madison’s ability to navigate “grey” areas – He didn’t just embody compromise; he built it into our system of governance. Kat will also acknowledge and explore that Mr. Madison experienced great challenges such as suffrage and slavery, and that his sheer tenacity set him apart and has lessons for all of us who are negotiating the grey today. There already exists a great relationship between James Madison University and James Madisons Montpelier ... lets continue to built that relationship and boost #EnlightenedCitizenry on campus in the process!
