Hey guys! For whoever might be interested heres a brief description of the meaning behind Villa Morta. In Roman mythology the Parcae determined a persons journey through life, from birth to the final breath. Known in Western culture as the three sisters of Fate they controlled each mortals thread of life. Nona, the youngest sister, spun the metaphorical thread. Decima, the middle sister, measured the length of each thread. Morta, the eldest sister, cut the thread, thereby choosing the manner and time of each mortals death. Morta was a frequent vision for those who would soon endure pain or death. She came from both the god of night and goddess of darkness, so she easily walked between the half world of wakefulness and sleep. Villa, meaning house in Italian, looks at our spiritual home. It symbolises a sense of belonging, of connection, with a people, a culture, and a way of life that surrounds us through life and death. Villa Morta examines our journey, guided by the three Fates, to our spiritual home: the complicated balance of choices, beliefs, and ideas that make up our lives. We share our own journeys and ideas, bringing light to the importance of overcoming and growing from experiences to focus on process rather than outcomes when finding true happiness and direction. We focus on discovering the path to the place and mindset you find yourself at the end: the Villa Morta. https://youtube/watch?v=Oq-jK-TwJnc
