Hey guys! Odin has a few health issues I wanted to get your opinion on. First and most minor, Odin has got one of those pink pimple-esque sores on his snout on his lower lip. Ive seen a few posts about this but could find one when I scrolled for a bit. Could someone re-explain what it is and how to treat it, or link/tag me to a post where it was discussed. Second and most importantly, we were notified that a 2-3 years old rat terrier of a friends of mind has passed away suddenly. This friend told me that she thought he passed from Parvo. I was worried and watched Odin carefully since our Dogs had played together a week ago. Today, mid-day he began to cough and vomit for about 30 minutes and we rushed him to the vet. (He is up to date on all shots prior to this visit btw, including the Parvo vaccine.) There we were told that he didnt appear to have Parvo and had likely had an upset stomach due to getting table scraps (were visiting family this week and theyve been spoiling him with people food). We asked them to do a Parvo test anyway, and it was negative! Thank goodness! My question is, my friends dog clearly passed away from something, and I was wondering if there was anything else I should test Odin for. I was beginning to ask my friend for more details surrounding her dogs death but she told me that shes didnt want to talk about it right now, and that no tests were run so she wasnt sure on the cause of death. So I cant talk about his symptoms but Odin is a little moody and doesnt want to be touched, vomiting periodically, and vouching before and after the vomiting. His stool is also a little runny. He is eating and drinking normally though. Any idea what could be wrong? Or what could have happened to the other dog? I know were just speculating but it will help ease my nerves while I watch him tonight. I was told by the nurse that she didnt think there was any disease he could have gotten from the other dog that would exhibit these symptoms and Odin should just be watched tonight and given a bland diet. If it doesnt improve well be back tomorrow. Im so nervous!! My poor baby! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜£ðŸ˜±
