Hey guys, we are running a 09 Classic and are about to upgrade the trolling motor. The current one is a 82# digital tour motorguide- 4/5 years old. I cannot decide if I need a 36v TM or not. We can fit the extra battery easily. I am pretty unhappy with the strength of this trolling motor right now. I can kill the batteries in 1 day in wind and it doesnt feel strong enough for my style of fishing. Also, it doesnt hold itself in strong current on the Colorado River or Havasu. Any opinions? Sherm seems to think a 24v will be enough and thinks our TM may have just been weak.
