Hi All: As the Press-Enterprise has reported last week, an iconic institution of Riverside lore might shut down due to a disability lawsuit about mobility access, increased competition by more and more coffee chains in the downtown (why?), and the rent-cost of running such a large coffee shop (one of the largest in the I.E.). Back to the Grind is one of our most sacred small businesses, and has been one of the few places that actually functions as an All-Age Music Venue in Riverside, which has mostly subsisted on refried cover bands, since well, time immemorial. For me, and for others, its been a vital community center, and the only place that gave me the feeling like I was living in the Bay Area. Please give and donate any amount to gofundme. Darren Conkerite, the owner, and his mighty band of freedom fighters, like Talene Salmaszadeh, plan to use the funds to improve the facility, roast their own coffee and get central air-conditioning. Reward prizes are itemized below: gofundme/Backtothegrind
