Hi Everyone, Heres a FB post from Michael Smith (who was present at the event last night). We were very moved by his words and thought you would enjoy them too - KC Office Im so proud of you Kate. Last night, as you were being honoured by the Australian Songwriters Association by being inducted into their Songwriters Hall of Fame, you showed just why you have deserved that accolade for so long. An extraordinary achievement, its so easy to forget just how much youve done and how many people youve touched through your art, particularly when you are so immersed, like all great artists, in the next project and the next, because of course you must, you must write, play, sing and perform - these are the things that you are, the singer, the songwriter, the MUSICIAN (!), the artist - and theres no time to look back. Thank you so much for sharing that moment last night when you finally had a chance to stop, catch your breath and look back at what an extraordinary legacy you have already created and realise that, yes, you are a musician, and we are the richer for your art, and your gracious heart and soul.
