Hi Everyone, It’s kind of hard to write everyday stuff given the tragic events of last Friday. It’s terribly sad, always, when children lose a parent. I know that I can say on behalf of all of us at Balaklava Fresh Foods, our most sincere condolences go to Kellie, Thomas and Henry. We would also like to express our concern for others who have been impacted, although differently- You are in our thoughts as well. Not meaning to downgrade the sincerity of our feelings, but the “Vote 1 for Dorf” Campaign finally kicked off this week with a bout of kissing babies. Well not really a bout, and not really babies, just one, and not really kissing, but holding. It got the vote though! Make sure yours is in by Friday folks ;) The specials for this week beginning November 3 are- • KP Mangoes- $2.99 each • Seedless Watermelon- $1.59 per kilo • Zucchini – $1.99 per kilo • Celery Tray,200g – $1.65 each • 2 punnets Local SA Strawberries for $6.50 And in the Nutritional Harmony Lines- • Dried Fruit/Cake Mix 500g- $5.00 each • NH Sultanas 1kg (Australian)- $8.20 each FYI: White Peaches now too! The shop smells divine! And don’t be concerned about the “first lot of stone fruit- I don’t know what people mean by that actually- Ours always start good. Again, we’ve stuck with the same brands and growers as the last four seasons because they have proven always to be fab! It is so easy to put in an order and have your fruit and veg delivered! Organic Produce is still available on Wednesdays- place your orders Tuesdays. A Price list and order forms are attached to our email. You can use this to place an order by phone or fax or email, for pick up or delivery- however we can help you! Delivery for retail customers is available to your home or workplace- Balaklava on any shop day, Owen on Thursdays and then Port Wakefield is available on Mondays and Fridays, Lochiel on Friday. Wednesday delivery to Bowmans is available so don’t be afraid to ask. If you would like delivery in the surrounding areas let us know and we will see if we can swing by when in the area! Facebookers can use a word document if you like. You can fax, phone, email or drop off an order but if you do email, please give us a quick call if it is needed on the same day and you haven’t received a confirmation email so we know to go online. The night before you want an order is usually fine though. (When using our order forms enter how many items or the approximate weight of each into the spread sheets cells, save the file then send it back as an attachment) “You can’t buy happiness, But you can buy local and that’s kind of the same thing”.
