Hi Mr.Madison!! I am in Japan now and I cant stop thinking - TopicsExpress

Hi Mr.Madison!! I am in Japan now and I cant stop thinking about how you always mention blacks are undervalued; underestimated and marginalized. I see that here in Japan! I am with 11 others who are white and 1 Asian. When I walk with my white travel mates I am not acknowledged. They look to them first; then they see me with them and you can see the look of ok she is ok if they like her. Or I have been told you are so sweet. There are hardly any blacks here. But even in the sea of people I get unfriendly looks. I smile and they just stare back; some might smile but its usually the more well to do ones based on their appearance. I am trying not to focus on it but its disheartening. I keep thinking Lord why do so many people shun us??!. When my white travel mates say everyone is so courteous; I see the extension of courtesy given to them and not me so I remain silent. The white women in my group were not acknowledged at a restaurant and the restaurant acknowledged the men only and I wanted to tell them now you know what discrimination feels like. They were so shocked! Lol. I am in a foreign land so I am respectful and dont say anything if I get bumped into without an excuse me and then I see my white friends get bumped into and IMMEDIATELY a slight bow and Im sorry on the spot! So that cultural conditioning you speak of is 100% true worldwide!! I just had to share this with you and Miss Sherri. I am so glad you are empowering us and enlightening us as a people back home! Thank you for all you do and I pray many years of blessing over you and your household!! God bless!! #JoeMadison #SiriusXM #UrbanView #Race SiriusXM Urban View
