Hi Team, The House of Ruth is an outstanding agency that provides services and a shelter for survivors and victims of Domestic Violence. Just an FYI: Last night House of Ruth held their annual vigil for victims who lost their life through domestic violence. This was one of the best programs I have ever seen. They had boys and men throughout the community speak out against violence. It was extremely touching to see so many allies standing up supporting women and children. This morning House of Ruth organized an awareness day and brought together men and women who delivered Domestic Violence Prevention and Awareness brochures, purple ribbon pins and cookies all over the community to other agencies and organizations (rehab centers, mental health facilities, libraries, etc.). Then we met on the busiest street in Pomona and picketed the intersection with our awareness signs for a few hours. Toyotas 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five nonprofit organizations each day for 50 days at Facebook/Toyota.
