Hi, accident advise needed please if this is allowed. My 2.8 lwb was involved in a non fault accident and the insurers have written it off CAT C. They have offered me one price for salvage or another price for me to keep the vehicle. Ive had this car almost 13 years now and its been very good indeed. I know I can repair or remove this damage for not a lot of outlay. My questions are:- If I decide to keep this vehicle, where do I stand with it being a CAT C right off? Do I have to get it tested or a report written up? Do I have to inform anyone that its been written off? I was planning to sell this year anyway and I just need to know the ins and outs of buying back a CAT C right off. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
