Hi all. Frank & I have been brainstorming about categories for next years (2015) Crossborder BBQ competition ancillary categories..interested in your reactions: The leftover category was so well received and the entries so amazing, we thought wed do a reprise. However, we thought about dropping dessert and instead adding a Push-the-KCBS Envelope category. The idea is this: You have to have a LEGAL KCBS entry but we want you to push to the edge if the rules. The category for 2015 would be chicken. And the idea is that we are looking for entries that are NOT your ordinary KCBS turn-in -- whether a very different chicken part, sauce, or even (yes) cooking method. Here are a few photos to get you inspired: Black Chicken, Chinese Black-Bean Braised Chicken Wings, Chicken Salad (beware the size of your dice), & Pan-Seared Chicken (over charcoal/wood!)
