Hi all, I wonder if any of you has had any work done by Mark @ Chimney Cleaning Experts. We have a couple of options on the table to attempt to restore our fireplace in the living room. Here is the deal. The fireplace has two flues. On one side, the gas line. On the other...a cloudy story. Evidently, someone blocked that side with concrete, and in the process, damaged the wall between the flues. So our choices are to have a fireplace insert put in, or attempt to restore the wall between the flues. One opinion from one company says that this repair and restoration can be done. However, another opinion from another company, determined that there wasnt enough clearance to reline the chimney and restore it back to a wood burning fireplace, and that an insert is our only option. So we are in a quandary. But for a start, I would love to get the opinion of anyone who has similar work done by Mark. And Mark, if you are on this distribution list, my apologies, but this is a big job and I need big input :) No offense. Thanks!
