Hi all Just to inform you that one of our tenants, a 27 year old German student, was robbed at knivepoint at approx. 15:30 today (Tuesday 13-Jan-15) in Promenanden Road. She was dropped off by a taxi on the corner of Schanzen Road and walked towards 9B Promanden, when she saw a dark green taxi parked on the sidewalk - pretending to have car problems - just before Promenaden Gardens. She didnt like the look of it and changed to the other side of the road, but was attacked and thrown to the ground by 3 or 4 guys from the green taxi, threatened with a knive and robbed. She screamed and tenants from Chalet Michael heard her; they saw a maroon taxi stopping - with a ...01 number - from which a women emerged to comfort her. She was robbed of a white linen bag (with pink writing in German) - inside was a Samsung Galaxy smart phone, purse, doctors surgey book, medical German/English dictionery, a white doctors coat with some medical instruments in the pockets, an orange folder with copies of documents for Home Affairs etc. - just in case someone picks up such a bag which is of little use to the robbers. City Police was informed, but only arrived close to 19:00. A statement was made at the Central Police Station. If anyone has noticed the dark green taxi before in the area and has the car registration or taxi number, please let me know so that I can pass it on to the City Police officer.
