Hi all. Just wondering about how to choose a theme? So I am NOT a developer or a designer. My priority is something simple with excellent, helpful support should I need it. Currently, I use the basic free Wordpress theme. I had a go with Elegant Themes and another a couple of years ago, but the problem I encountered was issues that fell between the Elegant and Wordpress support systems - ie no easy answer for me! So my logic was to use something where there would not be this complication around support. The free theme was my easiest option. A year or so later, Id like something better looking. So, I found Themehorse and the online reviews were showing it to be great and with excellent support. Unfortunately, when I installed it, it registered a Fatal Error and blocked me out of my wordpress dashboard. The support I received from Themehorse was frustrating and unhelpful - in the end, Hostgator removed the theme and said it was something to do with the theme php files. So now, I like the look of Themehorse, but not sure if it is a good option - does anyone else have any feedback? I feel like Ive wasted time and energy in installing the theme and then eventually having Hostgator remove it - and worried that this will be a taste of things to come. OR does anyone know a very easy-to-use Theme to use with excellent support? Im after something pretty minimalist. So I dont want or need loads of sidebars or flashing galleries. Just a clear menu bar, a blog and a couple of static pages and the ability to add ecommerce functionality; and a footer will be good for my privacy policy etc. Something that adapts to iPad and phones. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thank you!
