Hi all, Kaycee had her flight assessment yesterday. All fit to fly in 2 litres of o2. So all medical things sorted for her first holiday abroad!! Kaycee seems to have turned a little corner too (might be honeymoon period) she has enjoyed a few sessions this week. First one was a communication class with additional needs children. She sat in the middle of a circle and joined in loads. Odd scream and occasional bye bye but she was good overall. And today we managed half hour at stay&play and she joined in pass the parcel (although she wanted to unwrap the full prezzie) Huge progress for my girl!! Currently undergoing massive changes in her life as we are now moving home :( ... but she has all the right teams on board ready for the transition to a new house, with a possible sensory bedroom being created by the special sensory teams to help aid her sleep and calm her in the new home. She will be having a sensory assessment too due to her being very sensory overload and doesnt like certain textures etc. Started to create positive vibes around her when shes getting very challenging with her behaviour, like breaking out into a song and doing silly things to take her mind of whats upsetting her. Its working slightly however I do look a bit mad when I a break out into a song and actions. But who cares it might help settle her and stop this loud screaming! All these small tiny steps are making little progression in her developmental status and making life a bit easier! Peace out KB page ! Heres a pic of her enjoying stay&play today ♥
