Hi all. So today I was talking with Wally Illman about a scenario - TopicsExpress

Hi all. So today I was talking with Wally Illman about a scenario game being held locally at Northern Battlefield Paintball and Airsoft. This event will be held Saturday July 28th with the event starting at 10am and ending at approx. 4pm. This even is called Prison Break, and is being hosted by Select Paintball North Bay. So, heres the info I have to date. 2 teams. Guards/corrections officers/law enforcement vs. the convicts. Ive spoken to Drew Porter, the fellow whos setting everything up and tentatively stated wed like to play on the corrections side. Some of you may know Drew, a member of the Northern gunmen paintball team. Good group of people, alot like us in how we associate, play, etc. The cost is $30 pre-registration, which also entitles you tot he pre-reg paint price of $70/case with entry on game day being $40 and $80/case. BUT, Drew has made us an offer. $20 pre-registration and $50/case for CEF members. The paint being used is good paint. Not low level field grade. so, actually a very good price for this paint. As far as i understand, this paint is above the grade Wasaga uses. And the paint they use is decent. Now, for most of you this will be at least a 3 hour drive to the event. Theres free camping on site at the event. But, I also have other accommodations available for us, if we want. I can host people at my house, up to about 14 people. As well, my father in law has a piece of property on the highway heading north to Timmins. Its about 10 minutes out of town, quite private and secure. And, the nice thing is it would only be US at this site. nobody else. So if we wound up with a bigger group than my home could handle, and we wanted to camp alone, we could. Wed just need to rent a port-a-potty for that weekend. This is the first big event being held at this field. Its an established field locally, and a decent one at that. But, people would need to be aware that this is the first big event held at that particular field. So, well have to expect a couple of hiccups. For reffing, theyve gotten Cliff Meir from the Discipline Lords to come up and organise the reffing for them. So, we can expect a decent ref staff. I know there will be prizes and giveaways, vendors, etc. So, Id love to see a strong CEF presence here. Be nice to see some of you guys and gals farther north. :) So, Im going to send out invites. If I miss anyone, and youve looked at the event, please invite them.
